My first granny squares

Here are my first ever granny squares – I started them a while back and I have about a half of what I need for a small rug – so a bit of a way to go yet! I found it quite relaxing and addictive once I got into the swing of it.  The way I learnt was through Youtube – there are many different versions but I found this one by Crochet Geek helpful:

I haven’t quite got the confidence with changing colours yet which is why I cheated and used multi-coloured wool!
