more at home in the forest

We live in a very urban environment, yet many of us still have a need to be in nature. We get in the woods to relax and decompress, to connect with nature in a peaceful setting. We go to the woods to work in the green and wild side and to reconnect with our nature roots and our connection to the Earth.

I’m not sure what to make of this new trailer in Deathloop. Is it a game in the old school sense of “it’s like an old fashioned adventure game,” or is it a new game-specific sense of “this is how I like to play my game?” I’m leaning towards the former.

It’s very much a new game, and it definitely plays like an old game. It has the traditional open-world game play of a survival horror game, but it also has the “more is more” gameplay of an action game. What sets it apart from other survival horror games is the ability to play with a team of up to eight (if you play with more than four) in the same game, rather than being forced into a single-player game.

The developers have stated that the game will be able to be played two or three times a day, and that the game will be able to be played in a single-player mode with up to four people. If you’re interested in trying the game, they have a Steam page with lots of information and reviews.

The GameFreak review is pretty glowing, but there’s been little mention of gameplay, but I can say without reservation that the game is very difficult. The more time you spend running around the trees the more likely you are to become disoriented and end up dead. This is the game’s biggest flaw, because once you start to lose your bearings, its very easy to lose your gun and run into the fire.

So I guess that makes it a great game for killing time in the forest, eh? I don’t know. I’m not sure what kind of problem I am supposed to be solving myself.

As it turns out, the reason for being disoriented is because you’re in a time loop. You are a member of a party of Visionaries, who you have known for years and have been trying to kill since you were a child. So you’re not just wandering through the forest. The forest is in a time loop with you in it. You can’t get back into the time loop until you kill the Visionary and he takes his rightful place at the top of the party.

You would probably be pretty disoriented if you were in a time loop in a forest. Imagine being disoriented with no way of knowing what is happening around you. I think that’s the thing about being disoriented in a time loop. You’re just not going to know until you do something foolish.

This sounds pretty silly though, right? Well, I’m not saying it is, but in my opinion it does kinda sound that way. In the forest, your state and actions are largely inconsequential, so you can focus on the path you chose. In the time loop however, your state and actions are entirely inconsequential, so you cant control where you are, even if you chose the right path.

I’m trying to think of a time loop that has the word disoriented in it. Not completely disoriented. Not really disoriented, but not totally disoriented either. In the forest you are disoriented, which is fine. Your state and actions are inconsequential, so you can focus on the path you chose. In the time loop however, your state and actions are entirely inconsequential, so you cant control where you are, even if you chose the right path.
